Fire Safety & Reaction to Fire
EN 13501-1 -- Classification A1
European fire classification standard for construction products. Calcium silicate insulation achieves the highest possible rating:
- Class A1: No contribution to fire at any stage, including fully developed fire. No flashover, no flaming droplets, no smoke production.
- Tested per EN ISO 1182 (non-combustibility test) and EN ISO 1716 (gross calorific potential)
- Applicable to LG-Standard, LG-High Temp, and GF-1100 fireproof board product grades
GB 8624 -- Class A1 (Non-Combustible)
Chinese national standard for classification of burning behavior of building materials and products. GF-1100 fireproof calcium silicate board achieves the highest classification:
- Class A1: Non-combustible material -- no contribution to fire
- Used in fire doors, fireproof partitions, cable tray fire barriers, and steel structure fire protection
- Also tested for EV battery thermal runaway barrier applications
International Product Standards
ASTM C533 -- Calcium Silicate Block & Pipe Thermal Insulation
US standard specification covering calcium silicate insulation for surfaces operating between 80°C and specified upper limits. Defines requirements for:
- Type I: Maximum use temperature 649°C (1200°F) -- Mingfa Grade 650
- Type II: Maximum use temperature 927°C (1700°F) -- Mingfa Grades 1000 & 1100 exceed this
- Density, thermal conductivity (ASTM C518), compressive strength (ASTM C165), flexural strength, linear shrinkage (ASTM C356), and moisture content
- Third-party test reports available upon request from accredited laboratories in China and internationally
GB/T 10699 -- Calcium Silicate Thermal Insulation
Chinese national standard for calcium silicate thermal insulation products. This is the primary production standard used at Mingfa's Laizhou facility:
- Specifies classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transport, and storage
- All HCS series and SCS series products are manufactured to GB/T 10699 requirements
- Density classes from 170 to 250 kg/m³ with corresponding thermal and mechanical property minima

Third-Party Test Reports
Independent laboratory test reports from SGS, CTI, and other accredited testing organizations are available for each product grade. Reports cover chemical composition, thermal conductivity, compressive strength, linear shrinkage, and reaction to fire.
